Monday~ find a dress day!

I realized last week that we will be on vacation for 9 days right be fore the gala so I have to find my dress quick!

AWC Thrift store with Khun Manee, Melanie's housekeeper.
...and Dolche and Harley in the background!

AWC Monday coffee at Au bon Pain in the Emporium...

Then off to lunch at Indigo...

Chicken with ham and spinach inside, it was good!

cute patio at Indigo

Wednesday we are thinking about a ladies night and went to the Sofitel hotel to see if it would be fun!
This is the wonderful pool view!

After Sofitel Kristy and I went to Central World and then to the Siam Square (unexplored area for me) area to look for a formal dress.

Kristy got married in Thailand last June to a Thai and had a beautiful dress made (one of 3) for her wedding!  We happened to pop in that store and I happened to like the dresses, at least parts of dresses :)!!!

I liked this dress but this waistline is not flattering on me at all... I really liked the fun print though!
This is the face of I like it and it fits but the waistline is strange... and sad because I can't get a dress in this print in time...
So I tried on this black dress which wasn't quite right either so I picked aspects of several different dresses and this sweet lady is going to make it for me!!!  So exciting!
 taking measurements...

This will be the color... I thought it was bright and fun!!!  I had to pick a color they had in stock or it wouldn't be ready in time.

This is the sketch of my dress... the top part isn't really that pointy more like the top of the black dress I had on in the measuring.

Siam Square is a bunch of "alleys" I guess with cute little shops!!

Off to Paragon department store (never been inside) to find shoes and maybe jewelry!

  3. With all those malls and shops, you could not find a formal already made?? Seems like a lot of trouble having to pick out fabric and having someone sew it for you. Just sayin'. We go to PA tomorrow and on to Lake Charles for the night, and back home Friday morning. Not a very long trip, but long for us! We used to have a similar laundry in our big motorhome. It was foreign made, but seemed to wash and dry just fine. It was just that it was small and you could not wash very much at one time. One bed sheet filled it up. Food at Indigo looked good. I bet you go there more than once. Enjoy your vacation. More pictures! BT

    1. Glad your birthday was good and can't wait to hear about Lake Charles! Thanks for always posting! The malls here have mostly very small clothes and I actually had a hard time finding formal dresses. Hopefully the dress will turn out ok!! Love yall and miss yall!!!
