Railey beach day

Longtail boat trip to Railey Beach (about 20 minutes)

We were told to head to a certain area of the beach... with not so good directions we just guessed and took a strange way to a very very cool part of the island!

I thought this was interesting decor!!!

This route popped us out on Railey Beach East

Then we kept walking to the secret area... ( we think we are going the right way)

Here we are!  tons of rock climbers and people... I guess it isn't so secret!

Uh oh a storm is coming in... they aren't kidding about rainy season starting May 1st around here!!!

 We head for shelter and lunch!  

We walk back to the  Railey Beach area where the longboats drop you off...

Time to head back to Ao Nang beach where our hotel is, and it is raining again!

Back to visit our little friend at Centerpoint with the good music!

We met a fun Irish guy so John had to have a Jameson Irish whiskey shot with him and our little friend!

Then back to the beach bar across the street from our hotel.

Funny story~

We are hanging out having a beer and up comes a young guy with an "entourage" (about 6 girls)

He has brought a bottle of Baileys with him (???) and we are looking at each other like HE MUST BE SOMEBODY FAMOUS AROUND HERE!

He gives John and I each a drink of Baileys (YUCK) and John dumped it under the bar and a stray cat started drinking it!!!

Then the guy thought John loved it and gave him ANOTHER ONE!!....

Then the guy challenged John to a game of pool...

I was set up then to play his girlfriend in Connect Four...

As I start talking to her I find out they are from Singapore and he is a flight attendant and she is a nurse...

John thought he was about to get smoked at pool and it turns out John won and he was the worst pool player John had ever seen...

It was a very very funny night!
