Today is John's first day of work! We get free breakfast downstairs so I went with John to eat breakfast and walked him down to meet our driver who was picking him up at 6:30 am.
I was so lucky to spend the day with Anne who showed me around and gave me tons of information!
We took the sky train to the mall Terminal 21!
our sky train stop for the hotel
The mall is HUMONGOUS! Each floor has the theme of a different country! I will have to go back and take more pictures. I am starting to feel a little goofy for taking so many pictures... but I have to document this experience right??
We ate at the food court at Terminal 21. I chose Pad Thai so this is the Pad Thai booth. The picture on the right is of spices and different things you can put on top.
Anne's plate from a vegetarian booth, looks delicious. The egg looks funny but it's because it has been soaked in soy sauce (I am learning tons from Anne).
Anne eating!! (Thanks for letting me take a pic)
Anne had a meeting at 2 so we parted ways and I headed back to the hotel! I went to Starbucks and ordered the Americana (Anne's help) and read a little bit. If you are staying at the Starbucks they give you your drink in a mug.
view from Starbucks
I headed to the grocery store to get fun fruit and possibly something to cook for dinner.
My cart, it's a handheld basket on a cute little rolling mini grocery cart...
I ended up with laundry detergent...
stuff for spaghetti...
and fun fruit!!
top~ Pamelo middle~ mini bananas, strawberries bottom~ apples (ok not so fun)
We ended up wanting something quick to eat when John got home so we headed to the food court again in the Emporium mall (attached to hotel). Little Hanoi Vietnamese food
spring rolls in rice paper with peanut sauce DELICIOUS!!!
John's Vietnamese BBQ Pork dish (you wrap the pork in the lettuce)
Chicken with noodles
Pictures of the sun going down from our apartment.
