We are headed to Siam Reap, Cambodia for our last vacation!!
look how little the plane is!!
We had to take a bus from the terminal to get to the little prop plane...
John was a little too close for comfort to the guy leaning back in front of him!!
very small airport in Siam Reap
Angkor Pearl hotel only $34 a night!
The tuk-tuks here are so cute!!
even a batman one...
It was sprinkling when we arrived so we decided to go see the handicraft place called Artisans Angkor.
Hand painting on silk
Most of the people working here are hearing impaired.
chiseling elephants out of different types of stone
They carved all these Buddha heads! Really cool to watch them work!
Then shopping and dinner at Central Market and Old Market!
Angkor beer... not too shabby.
dumplings (weird) and spring rolls
cashew chicken of course
Amok chicken (Cambodia signature dish similar to curry)
Pub Street (a mini 6th street type place...kinda)
stop #1
Then Angkor What? bar where we met some nice friends from Australia thanks to
Alannah who started chatting with us! Australians are so nice I have quickly learned!!
JK 2012
The fun thing to do at this bar was to get a bucket of mixed drinks!
If you buy 2 you get a free t-shirt!!
Fun night!!
